Artist Statement: This collection of drawings, paintings and expressions of the earth is my way of actively saying 'thank you' to the world around me and confronting my own preconceptions. I have always worked in an assortment of mediums that, at times, felt contradictory to me - some creations being finely detailed pen & ink drawings and others being broad strokes of paint with abstract, cut paper. For some reason, I felt as though I had to choose one way or the other - that all these ideas couldn't make sense together. 

"All in All" is my way of challenging that notion of 'things not fitting' - my way of illustrating how I see and feel about the natural world around me despite what form that may take. Be it the vast feeling of standing in a mountainous landscape or of being stopped in your tracks to look closer and admire a small wildflower, the one constant thread that runs through each piece is one of awe and reverence for the plants, spaces and species that inhabit this world and how it feels to be one of them.

Custom framed pieces and art prints will be for sale at the opening as well as through my online shop starting February 1.
